More tragic stuff went down in St. Louis—28-year-old Sam Linehan, this awesome figure skating coach who also ran things at cool spots like Sado and Yellowbelly, got shot dead right in her car at a Starbucks drive-thru near Tower Grove Park. Just minding her own business grabbing coffee, and some thug walks up and blasts her. No warning, no reason—she was just another hardworking person trying to live her life.
The perp? 58-year-old Keith Brown, a total career criminal with a rap sheet going back forever—armed robberies, serious felonies, you name it. Cops say he pulled off two other gunpoint stick-ups in the days right before this, same outfit and everything. How the hell is someone like that still walking around free to do this?
Local news jumped on it quick, but you won’t see this blowing up on the big networks or getting the endless coverage other stories do. Another innocent life taken by a repeat offender the system let slip through, and crickets from the national crowd. Makes you wonder what it takes for them to actually care.
