Two months earlier, CNN refused to air Trump’s July 16 prime-time speech live. MSNBC carried only clips. Chopped it up. Controlled the narrative.
So let’s be clear: these outlets want access when it serves them. They want to pick and choose what gets broadcast. They want gatekeeping power. But the moment that power gets used against them, suddenly it’s a constitutional crisis.
You don’t get to demand press freedom while silencing voices you disagree with. That’s not principle. That’s just power. And they got caught playing both sides.
